Cool sculpting VS Cavitation

You must have heard about the methods for the reduction of fat. There are both surgical and non-surgical methods to get rid of excessive fat and give a slim look to the body. However, there is a need to know that there are different non-invasive methods and specific machines are used for that purpose. These machines are known as body slimming machines or fat-burning machines.

In this post, we are going to break down the major differences between the two most popular fat reduction methods and machines that are cool sculpting and cavitation. We would be looking at how they differ and relate to each other concerning working principles.

What do they have in common?

Both machines cool sculpting and cavitation machines are employed to reduce body fat in the areas where diets and exercise are ineffective. Both cool sculpting and cavitation equipment are quite good in reducing body fat and giving the body a slim look. However, depending on the kind of skin and body, the percentage of reduction of fat may not be the same, but specialists agree that it is still beneficial. Low-frequency ultrasonic waves are used in cavitation, and a paddle is used for the destruction of fat cells in cool sculpting.

What are the differences between the two?

Nearly all fat-reduction devices that work on the principle of ultrasound waves set the ultrasonic wave frequency between 40 kHz and 5 MHz without harming any other organs or body parts. The procedure's goal is to burn the body's surplus fat.

The cool sculpting machine does not use ultrasound waves rather it uses the paddle to specifically target the fat cells and membranes and eliminate them without damaging other body parts.

In general cases, the Lipo cavitation device operates at a frequency of 40 kHz. The fat cells' membranes are directly impacted by the sound waves causing them to melt. This procedure is harmless but during the procedure, one may hear the faint buzzing of ultrasonography. However, due to the warmth on the skin, the patient barely notices any discomfort.

What is the Major difference regarding Fat Reduction?

The cryolipolysis machine cools the targeted area's fat at a particular temperature. The apparatus suspends the body parts between two paddles. The surgeons keep the paddles for between 35 and 60 minutes as they quickly calm down. About 20 to 25 percent of the fat cells are destroyed during this process. This process turns fat cells into waste materials, which the lymphatic system subsequently processes and permanently removes from the body.

By liquefying the fat deposits, the cavitation machine acts to reduce fat by causing the fat to be released through bodily wastes. To hide the appearance of stretch marks and cellulite, this machine also helps to encourage tissue and collagen regeneration. Additionally, this process aids in body contouring.

The Difference in Results

Some patients experience mild to moderate pain in the targeted area after cool sculpting. After the process, the skin appears completely smooth, however, the smoothness of the skin might be different as it depends upon the texture of the skin which is different for every person.

In the initial hours following cavitation, the skin may exhibit redness, itching, and bruising. Some individuals experience deep blue bruises, although they are not permanent and eventually go away.

How do They Differ concerning the Numbers of Sessions?

Depending on the treatment region and the thickness of fats, numerous sessions are required for cool sculpting. On a normal level, however, two to three sessions are required to reach the maximum goal. The interval between sessions should be at least one week.

However, the biological needs of each individual are taken into account when designing the cavitation process. The typical technique, however, takes one to three sessions to complete, with a two-week break in between each session for a normal person who has the fat of average quantity.  Lipo cavitation sessions last between forty-five and seventy-five minutes, in normal circumstances.

Do They Differ based on Limitations?

Fat loss with Coolsculpting is successful. But it's important to remember that this is meant to help you lose fat, not weight. One should follow a healthy diet and exercise routine if one wants to lose weight. For those with high-fat levels and excessive obesity, this approach is less successful.

There are no limitations when it comes to skin types in Cavitation. It can be done on any skin type. However, the doctor may postpone the procedure until the wound has fully healed if there are any wounds or sores in the treatment region. When used in conjunction with a nutritious diet, this method of weight loss is effective. This approach is not a good or effective substitute for a balanced diet and regular exercise.

Differences of Prices

Prices are nearly identical for both. Not much of a difference exists. Both machines cost between $35k and $40k. On the other side, cool sculpting costs between $2000 and $4000 per session. The cost of cavitation ranges from $250 to $300 per session.

What are the possible side effects of both processes?

The area of treatment may experience soreness or ache as one of the cool sculpting procedure's frequent side effects. Extremely low temperatures might temporarily irritate people. Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, which is the increase of fat cells in the targeted location instead of a reduction, is another uncommon but significant negative effect of cool sculpting.

On the other hand, cavitation has no negative side effects. But there is the possibility of getting light blisters that go away in a short time.

Coolsculpting is incredibly efficient because it helps to get rid of fat cells permanently. The results, however, don't appear for two to three months. 20 to 25 percent of fat cells are destroyed on average during each session.

Cavitation is quite good in reducing any potential damage from fat to other organs. The outcomes, however, do not become apparent right once following the process. To see the procedure's true results, allow close to 6 to 12 weeks. However, this process just empties the fat cells, leaving them open to the possibility of depositing fat once more. A balanced diet is, therefore, necessary to prevent further weight gain.
