When it comes to fat reduction, many methods and techniques are being employed for that cause. Cavitation and laser lipo are one of those methods. You must have come across these terms over the internet, and both these terms are used interchangeably. However, there lies a major difference in both methods. What is that difference?
In this specific post, we are going to break down, some of the similarities and differences of these methods. Moreover, we would be looking at to what extent these processes are effective in fat reduction.
The terms "cavitation machines" and "laser lipo machines" refer to the machines that are used for the elimination of fats, respectively. Cavitation and laser lipo machines are used to get rid of body fat in the parts of the body where diets and exercise are ineffective. To reduce body fat and give the body a trim appearance, both cavitation and laser lipo technology are helpful. Experts agree that both of these methods are useful even though the percentage of fat reduction may not be the same depending on the type of skin, physique, and thickness of fat.
The majority of fat-reduction devices that use ultrasound maintain the ultrasonic wave frequency between 40 kHz and 5 MHz without endangering other organs or body parts. The method seeks to burn off surplus body fat.
Usually, the Lipo cavitation apparatus operates at a frequency of 40 kHz. The fat cell membranes are instantaneously melted by the impact of ultrasound waves. Although this method is perfectly safe, one can hear a faint buzzing sound when the ultrasonography is being performed. However, due to the little heat on their skin, the patients seldom experience slight discomfort.
Laser lipo differs from cavitation based on using the laser to destroy fat cells instead of using ultrasound waves. The energy from the laser is transferred to the skin and then to the tissue and cells. The laser melts the fatty cells and is then removed from the body through the suction device that is attached through a surgical tool known as a cannula.
The cavitation machine lowers fat by liquefying the fat deposits and allowing the fat to exit through bodily waste. This process also helps in hiding the stretch marks through which collagen and tissue regeneration. This process also helps in body contouring, giving the body a naturally slim appearance.
Laser lipo gently heats the cells until they die in a process known as apoptosis. After that, the destroyed fatty cells start to get out of the body through the lymphatic system. Laser lipo also helps in getting rid of belly fat according to experts.
In the first several hours after cavitation, the skin may display redness, inflammation, and bruising. Some people's skin may develop deep blue bruises, but they gradually disappear, are not typically harmful, and are not permanent.
After the first session, the patient may feel burning under the treated area. Some people even feel numbness and even discolored skin.
During the cavitation process, the biological needs of each individual are taken into account. The typical method, takes one to three sessions to complete, with a two-week delay between each session, for a normal person with average quantities of fat. Each session of cavitation typically lasts between forty-five and seventy-five minutes.
In lipo laser, most patients have two sessions with the interval of four to six weeks between each session. On average, each laser lipo session lasts for one hour in one specific area. However, the doctor may suggest more than 2 sessions depending upon the needs of the person.
In cavitation, there are no such limitations. It can be used to treat the skin of any sort. The doctor may decide to postpone the procedure until the wound has fully healed if there are any cuts or sores in the targeted area. The only limitation is that this process does not destroy the cells permanently. Rather there is a chance of accumulation of fats again. Therefore, this method is effective only with a balanced diet and exercise.
Lipo Laser is not suitable for treating larger areas. If it is not carried out properly, it can cause a lumpy or uneven skin texture. With this, you can get fat again if you gain weight.
When it comes to the price per session, there exists a significant difference. The price per session of cavitation is $200 to $300. However, the cost per session of laser lipo is $1000 to $1,500.
Lipo cavitation works best in the areas with localized fat. These areas are the flanks thighs, hips, upper arms, and abdomen.
Laser lipo can be performed on any part of the body to get rid of extra fats.
There are not any possible side effects in case of cavitation. There may be the appearance of blisters in the treated area but they are not harmful.
The possible side effects of lipo laser are uneven skin texture, burning sensation, and discolored skin.
Cavitation does a good job of removing excessive fats. However, the results are not immediately obvious when the process is completed. It takes six to twelve weeks to see the possible results. Along with that in cavitation, you need to take care of your diet so that you do not gain the fat again.
Concerning lipo laser, it helps get rid of fatty cells permanently, but on average, each laser lipo session lasts for one hour in one specific area. However, the doctor may suggest more than 2 sessions depending upon the needs of the person. The results are not obvious immediately after the session rather it takes about 2 to 3 months to see the results.
